Sky’s the Limit Youth Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization established by the Skyforce in 1994 to benefit area youth. Each year, Skyforce coaches, players and staff are involved in a variety of Sky’s the Limit outreach activities.
Sky’s the Limit Youth Foundation distributes funds to local organizations that help South Dakota families. These organizations have included the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sioux Falls, the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation and the Roger D. Larsen Memorial Scholarship at Dakota State University, among others.
The Skyforce also created two new funds in 2003 and 2004 that are part of the Sky’s the Limit Youth Foundation umbrella. Operation Cares is a fund set up to help military families with everyday needs, while their soldiers are away, such as groceries, car repairs, medicine, etc. Operation Opening Doors is a fund that renovates the home of soldiers who come home with a major disability. Associated General Contractors of South Dakota have since taken over Operation Opening Doors.
Over the past 21 years the Sky’s the Limit Youth Foundation has raised and distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars thanks to your help. We are continually seeking donations for our causes. Because of our 501 (c) (3) status, your donation is tax deductible.
If you would like to make a donation, you can choose where you would like your money to go. Please send a check, along with a return address so we can send you a letter for tax purposes, to:
